factory rooted fz-x1 ????

Hi guys first post and I'm afraid its for help.

Bought the fzx1 from a Panasonic dealer.

Had issues with app store not working. Contacted Toughbook Support (bloody rude people) and they said I mist have rooted the device. As they don't root them.

I can't install any apps. From the app store anyway .

How can I check if I am actually rooted?

Does anyone have a way of installing a PDF reader so I can access the phones user guide (its on the phone in PDF with no pre installed PDF reader...

New Latitude 5470

So, it seems some new Latitudes can now be ordered. I'm looking at the Latitude 5470. I like that it has a quad in the standard config.

It seems they ship with an M.2 SSD. It's not clear to me whether a bay for a 2.5" hard disk is also available. Does anyone know?

My VPCZ13M9E has two internal ssd drives stacked together using a plastic separator that holds them in place. Each one of them has its own connection. The two drives connect to the same ribbon cable which has the Y shape, and the resulting ribbon connects to the motherboard. Each drive is a Toshiba 64GB SSD. By default both are configured as RAID 0 on the motherboard.

I would like to know which type of connection are so I can replace them with bigger capacities. Also, would like to be able...

One of my RAM sticks just died. Need to buy a replacement ASAP. VPCZ115GG, 2x 2GB (total 4GB).

MT16JSF25664HZ-1G1F1 2GB DDR3 PC-8500 1066MHz 204pin

1. Should I buy just one new 2GB module or replace both together?

2. Should I go for 2x 4GB instead, to get 8GB total as opposed to my previous 4GB? Currently running with only 2GB, and feeling the difference.

Got IT! 1 week from ordering!

Initial Impressions are good.

For M6500 owners its very similar, but because of the 16:9 it seems a lot wider.

Non IPS HD screen seems very decent.

Build quality seems to be as good as the M6500.

The keyboard has nasty keys compared to the M6500 and moderate flex.

Alps touchpad :( Synaptics > Alps

BIOS comes set to RAID even with one HDD.

NO OPTION OF SANDY BRIDGE INTEL GRAPHICS ONLY ON ATI MODEL :(

Power brick is the same size as the Slim adapter of...

I'm planning to meeting someone to buy a used np8678-s/p670rg.

Besides checking for dead pixels, cosmetic, ports etc.

Are there any know issues I should look into like heat and performance issues.

What programs should I get to test these?

So I bought this expensive 6K desktop replacement and ditched other options because it had socketed components so I can upgrade it and it would be a long term investment. But 1 GPU upgrade and we're locked out of getting it is very disappointing to me.

I know there is no guarantee to upgrades but IMO should not be the case on a laptop that was the flagship just a few months...

Anyone else disappointed?

Hello

I am an owner of a fairly recent CLEVO rebranded notebook (N24_25JU is the only thing I've found thus far). It has Intel Pentium 4405U processor and Intel HD 510.

I've been having an issue with the graphics core clock frequency. At idle it's 300MHz as normal and under load it's 800MHz or slightly more than that. This works fine most of the time, however when the battery is not 100% charged and the AC adapter is plugged in, it throttles down to 200MHz. I used to set CLEVO control...

I've been reading all the threads regarding negotiating with Dell to bring the price down. But, I'm not having any luck. I found a few codes online but the reps are saying that they can't stack those discounts. One even suggested placing the order online for the XPS 15 since he couldn't go beyond 9% off despite talking with his manager.

So, what is actually possible? I'm not sure if what I'm expecting is too much or if I'm not going about it in the right way. In the threads, I've read...
