I am starting this thread because I feel this series is noteworthy and deserves discussion. I loved my previous GT72 Dominator Pro, and to me it was my favorite 17" platform, but now I am WOW'ed by this new series. Not only do we see nice improvements and more frills, but LOOK at the choices amongst the SKU's..... from single 1070 and 1080 models, to SLI 1070's..... at considerable varying prices, in truth, any of these should game very nicely. If I were not committed to my GT83VR purchase,...

Hey there guys,

great forum full of very wonderful and helpful people.

So i have my sights set on a 1070 laptop, i was thinking 1060 but why not push the boat out as the GPU's are not upgradable and the 1070 is a monster for 1080p gaming - Should be good to go for at least 2 years i would imagine.

So there are many options, i wouldn't want to spend more than 1700 dollars as i'm ordering from Japan (living here now) from the US. Bandhphoto has the very best deals in terms of postage -...

Hello!

Today my 8 year old notebook died, so I need to buy another one. I already have a 250GB Samsung 840 SSD, a 7200rpm 500GB HDD and a 4GB RAM.

I'd like to buy a GTX 1070 notebook, with 2 slots for HDD and SSD ( so I can put in my HDD and my SSD), with 8GB of RAM (1st slot) so I can add another 4GB in the 2nd slots.

I saw a good build for €1500 on pcspecialist uk, but I'm sure I could get a better price somewhere else.

Any suggestions? I'll buy from Europe

After some digging it looks like the MSI GT 15.6" in flavor is making a return in the form of the GT62 VR edition. This appears to be an actual GT62 and not that unbranded barebones with a desktop CPU that we've seen in the past. An official GT62! So far I've seen 2 SKUs with the 6700HQ and 6820HK but GPU and screen is unlisted.

Other laptops inbound include the GT72VR, GS73/63VR, GS43VR, and GE72/62VR.

Hopefully we know more soon, but good news for anyone that wants the 15.6" GT...

Due to the disappointment, i decided to share my experience here to leverage the awareness for new buyers.

I'm selling my Sager P870dm3 for the following reasons:

0)Fan not spinning properly, heard its Clevo firmware issue? Still not fixed, been weeks.

1)CPU temps are horrible even with CLP, guess i need to delid.

2)I agree with @D2 Ultima , one should have a working BIOS, xtu features arent even working properly, can't OC well.

3) I have to buy from certain...

Cf 19 bluetooth problems after installing gps

hey guys ,

I recently installed gps on my cf 19 , works perfect but what i have moticed is that my bluetooth doesnt pick up my diagnostic interface any more :-( it worked fine before but not now

I know the interface is okay as ive tried it on several other computers with bluetooth

Any help would be greatful thanks

First off - Thanks for all the knowledgeable contributors here, I've consulted information to get me out of trouble here many, many times.

To my question - does any one have any experience of this particular notebook and Windows 10?? Or can thy make an educated presumption about the risk?

I have read through quite a bit of the long Samsung Windows thread but most specifics are around more powerful laptops with dedicated graphics etc and issues that may not apply to this model.

Bricked Samsung Series 9 .. now..?

Hi, my beloved Samsung series 9 np900x3c is bricked, it will no longer charge. I tried switching chargers and batteries. The charge light does come on as orange when plugged in, but windows 10 reports "not charging" and the only way I can get it to turn on is to switch batteries with a second np900x3c that can charge.

I understand that motherboard repair on this ultrabook is about as expensive as buying a new one (as everything is soldered on the board, charging circuits etc). My question...

Hello all, I decided not to include a "what should I buy" form as I think I've narrowed down my search to just these two models. I want a 17" system with at least a GTX 1070 and I've looked at all my options, including the MSI, Sager, etc. equivalents but I've decided it's going to be one of these two. So I bought this expensive 6K desktop replacement and ditched other options because it had socketed components so I can upgrade it and it would be a long term investment. But 1 GPU upgrade and we're locked out of getting it is very disappointing to me.

I know there is no guarantee to upgrades but IMO should not be the case on a laptop that was the flagship just a few months...

Anyone else disappointed?

Does anyone know of a Assembly/Disassembly manual that is available for the following model,

GS63VR Stealth Pro-001

This laptop currently has a LG LP156WF6-SPK1 panel in it and frankly I am not impressed.

I am primarily trying to figure out if the Display panel connector/cable is a EDP connector, or a 30/40 pin VLDS connector, or if there is even a difference... I find no mention of it on MSI's website, or places like XoticPC.

I was interested in either replacing the existing FHD panel...

The drivers listed in this guide are for the Clevo P870DM, if you have a diff. model but with the same SSD, then simply look for the Windows 7 Drivers for your laptop on Sager's site.

Disclaimer: Backup your data, I am not responsible for any data loss incurred as we will need to wipe / format the SSD

Note: Using the Win 7 Creator Utility did not work for me under Windows 10, it would never finish mounting/unmounting the image so...
