Okay.... Here it is! I was debating starting this thread the other day but now that someone has specifically asked for it.... I decided to go ahead and start one.

This thread is for general discussion and light problems/comments/questions. Anything "heavy-duty" should probably have its own thread started to make the search function a little easier.

So.... I'll start it off! My CF-30 (which I love!) is a model CF-30CCS92BM. It is pretty much where I want it... A 1.66Ghz duo-core processor...

Hi,
I'm an owner of the alienware 15 R1, I am planning to get a new one with the next release because of the reasons:
1: I got a keyboard layout I'm not very fond of
2: no M.2 pci-e
3: Screen still has quite a noticable ghosting.

So I am planning to buy a new one but only if it meets my expectations, so I also wanted to hear from you guys what your expectations are of the next alienware laptops. So not only the Alienwae 15, but also the 13, 17 or if you expect another one to release such as...

HP Pavilion 14 need a opinion

I am looking for a 13 or 14 inch $1400 AUD laptop mostly for University and some games(TF2,XCOM2,Boarderlands2).
Planning to buy hp Pavilion 14-al014tu or the 14-al049tx from the hp Australia website however the new Pavilion 14 reviews are virtually non-exisient, so I am looking for a second, third, fourth.... opinion. Should i choose out of the two above or could you guys give me some suggestions. Keep in mind it has to be available in Australia.

Hi,
Have been reading a few threads over the last few months as have been wanting to upgrade my 5850m to something better.
I can't seem to find a clear cut answer on the most friendly upgrade.
Been looking at the 6990m 7970m but all seem to need new backplates or modding of some sort.

Question is, what is the best GPU upgrade that's pretty much plug and play (displayport functionality is a must) that i can use my backplate from the 5850 for?

I enjoy modding but just want something to chuck...

I just need help deciding between these two laptops, both are 1080 equipped .
I wanted a Clevo P870DM3 with single 1080 gpu, but there aren't any in Europe at a reasonable price, I had also decided to wait for more reviews of these units, but my laptop thought it was a good time to die today, so here I am typing this message from my smartphone, with a real sens of urgency .
I know the main difference between both, bga turdbook CPU on the MSI and all, I am still leaning towards the MSI...
