XPS 13 i3 performance

I have an xps 13 with i3 on order. Today I saw 2 reports of i3 model being permanently throttled yo 500 MHz. One report on dell support community page and one here in the owners thread. This obviously makes me nervous.

Does anyone elsr have the i3? How is your performance?
