Back on my home forum, this bit of news piece came out, and here are the main points.
Quote:

Current owners of Intel Core i7 equipped Alienware 17 and Alienware 18 performance gaming laptops will also be able to take advantage of the extra power on tap with a special BIOS update that will be available to download on October 9th. Gamers can go to the Alienware support page to find step-by-step instructions and download the updated BIOS for an instant upgrade to their system.

Availability

New Alienware 17 and Alienware 18 laptops will be available to order with factory-overclocked Intel Core i7 processors on October 9, 2014.

Existing owners of the Alienware 17 or Alienware 18 laptops with Intel Core i7 processors will be able to download and update their bios to enable the factory overclock on October 9, 2014.

The BIOS update should release today, but I checked and it hasn't yet. It doesn't seem like old news either since the last BIOS update mentions warning about OC dialing or something like that.
However, their config pages show that the processors are indeed overclocked.

Intel® Core™ i7-4710MQ processor (Quad Core, 6MB Cache, Overclocked up to 3.7GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
Intel® Core™ i7-4910MQ processor (Quad Core, 8MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.1GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
Intel® Core™ i7-4940MX processor (Quad Core, 8MB Cache, Overclocked up to 4.4GHz w/ Turbo Boost)
So this is real. Was going to put this in one of the sub forums, but it pertains to two laptops.
Too bad the 14 gets squat...
