No special requirements, I just don't know the current good models on the market, and I have a tight time frame to buy it (few days), so I'd love to get some help.

These are my preferences, in order of importance:
- Budget < $500
- at least 6GB RAM
- the lighter the better
- good battery life (6+ hrs)
- SSD (at least for the OS , for boot time purposes) - not a deal breaker...
