So now that HDMI 2.0 is out, I'm wondering whether an upgrade to next year's video cards will also upgrade my notebook (AW 17 R5) to HDMI 2.0.
While I'm certain the cards will support HDMI 2.0, I don't know how it works with regard to the existing ports. Or do you replace the actual pluggable HDMI port in your notebook together with the card?
Supposedly, most of today's high-speed HDMI cables are going to work with HDMI 2.0, so maybe this is not going to be an issue at all.
Does anyone have any information/conjecture on that?
