Yes this is Alienware related!

When I ask whether the M11x will see a successor, Frank Azor suggests it's a possibility. "The 11-inch was very disruptive," he says. "We want to be disruptive again."
Alienware is awesome. I don't care if you have 4 gtx titans, I could careless. Alienware has the interest of its customers in mind, amazing support, and a look that kills. Your homebuilt rig, sucks, because its just like any other out there, a non conformist blank mark in a sea of unrefinded interests. You're nothing like the Alienware folk. You're bland and boring. Alienware wants to make things innovative and exciting. That's something your "custom" rig wont ever do. Alienware is a following, a breed, something waiting to happen. Something you'll never be a part of.

It's obviously biased, and provactive right?
Well I got a reaction, the exact reaction I was expecting.
Hi Fran :O
I just saw your signature where it says:
Alienware is awesome. I don't care if you have 4 gtx titans, I could careless. Alienware has the interest of its customers in mind, amazing support, and a look that kills. Your homebuilt rig, sucks, because its just like any other out there, a non conformist blank mark in a sea of unrefinded interests. You're nothing like the Alienware folk. You're bland and boring. Something you'll never be a part of.
I understand that you're probably frustrated by the members here who bash on alienware... but don't you think it's also harsh to post that in your signature? Majority of people on OCN build their pc... and a lot of them would find your signature offensive. I personally don't have anything against alienware since I used to own an M15x myself... but to lump me, and other members in the ' bland and boring ' category is quite messed up. frown.gif What did we ever do to you?
this is literally the kind of reaction I expected, so here's my reply.
Its a vindictive statement ment to characterize the way people act towards alienware.
It embodies the irriational thoughts of someone whos fustraited.
Its a flipped statement.
"but to lump me, and other members in the ' bland and boring ' category is quite messed up. frown.gif What did we ever do to you?"
Its the same question I could ask to anyone else.
See how it feels? to be tossed away into a worthless category? Its a statement that turns the tables and makes you wonder what ever happened to evoke such a reaction.
People can say all day that "alienware sucks!" and people agree, no one contests unless someone who is part of the alienware ownership says something and that's literally the feeling that I get "What did we ever do to you?"
Your reaction is the exact reaction I expected. It invoked a sense of offence and anger out of you. Its like a piece of art, its suppose to evict a reaction out of you.
it did exactly that.
It embodies the idea that people say very cruel, hurtful, and dishearting comments toward the alienware ownership, and anyone who stands to oppose it must endure getting cut down.
if you have an opinion that everyone agree's with no one questions the validity, but as soon as you are different you are questioned. if it doesn't agree with them. you are "wrong."
Its as simple as you made it out to be "what did we ever do to you?"
How does it feel when the tables are turned?
The statement simply is posed to spite those whom think that because they have some sort of multithousand dollar built it themselves whatever, they are entitled to rail against those who bought a prebuilt because "they spend only have as much!"
Do you see how it creates a reaction?
Many people on OCN build their own rigs, yes, that's fine and dandy, but watch anytime an alienware thread is posted, watch people tear the user down.
An alienware can overclock, betweeked and rebuilt, that makes it a perfectly acceptable reason to be posted about. "overclock" .net not "build a pc" .net
Savvy?
its about people drawing artificial lines, trying to divided one another with classism, and elitism.
They put up a barrier that I didn't want to be there, I wanted to be there with them, but was only told to stay back I don't belong for something so simple as a lable on the hardware of my system. try to explain why we aren't so different? doesn't matter they just rebuild the wall with whatever excuses they can.
When faced with Rejection, what response do you expect? Respect? dignitity? its absolutely warranted to be angry, upset, and biased.
Try to join a club that you should be able to be a part of but rejected for a simple thing.
Its that simple.
It raises the questions overall "when the tables are turned how do you feel?"
"what did we ever do to you?"
Chastize me, harass me, belittle me, lie to my face about my system, snap at me, make me feel unwanted rejected and inferior.
Not everyone does it..
But try facing it for 4 years, and its never changed, no matter how much alienware and dell has tried...nothing has ever changed it.
Infact I met a friend a while ago...
He works for dell, he was so god damned excited that I was an alienware fan. He had worked for dell for over 10+years, and had never met someone outside of dell who didn't hate dell, muchless loved their alienware products.
The whole damn reason we connected, was because he was sick of the alienware/dell hate, and im sick of the dell alienware hate, so what happened? "wait you know how I feel... lets be friends!"
Simple as that.
I understand that is a case by case basis, that not everyone is a jerk about it. You've been kind and respectful, but with as much respect to you as I can say. the vast majority of "build it yourself" people are elitist, a$$holes, who have made my experience with a company I loved to be a proud support of, an absolute misery, to the point where I have considered seriously selling my hardware because I can't take the crap anymore.
its fueled my drepression, and I have cried many times because it feels so harsh to try to be a part of something and only to be painted with a target because of a label on my PC.
it doesn't matter that its modded, overclocked, and pulled a record on 3dmark11...its an alienware, therefor everyone hates it except for alienware/dell people.
"What did we ever do to you?"
Quite a lot.
It's been a nightmare, and that message is simply the final reaction I really have to marginalize the way people have treated me.
I hope this makes sense.

I though this might be an interesting read. Its of course emotionally charged a probably a bit irrational, but imagine what it takes to really be this open and emotionally charged about something that should be so insignificant right?
