I posted this as a comment in the AW17 thread and thought other AW users might find it useful;
If anyone is looking for smooth 2 finger scrolling twofingerscroll v1.0.9 works perfectly on the new Alienware notebooks and if your an MBP user you can invert the scroll direction to match. The scrolling motion is much smoother and more responsive than the built in Synaptics one. I would definitely recommend!
