I installed the 8970m in my R3 last night and I managed to get it all working after a bit of battling. However the only way it works is by setting my display mode in the BIOS to PEG and the backlight intensity is not the same as it is in the other mode. Brightness controls still working but it looks like the screen is half the brightness,
Has anyone come across this yet?
The only driver I could get working was the MSI GX70 laptop ATI driver running Catalyst control centre...
