Dell Alienware M15x ram upgrade

I purchased 8gb of Corsair Vengence DDR3 ram to upgrade my laptop. When I install the ram and turn on the computer it will not load the OS. BIOs reconizes the 8gb of ram. The ram was purchased from Newegg which said the ram is compatible. Anyone have any ideas?
