So I have seen laptop sizes like this:
15" laptops with a length of 38.5cm and width of 27.1cm
17" laptops with a length of 41.7cm and width of 28.7cm
Obviously the difference in size is not sooo much. Most important is that both of these still have an overly fat bezel of at least 2cm at each side in length and even a little bit more in width.
Point is: we could have 17" displays in a 15" laptop form factor, if the bezel were just 5mm or almost non-existing. Yes, that's right... a large 17"...
