1st post being updated ready for the release of the Windows 10 Anniversary update.

I decided to add in 2 more as Education was requested and my previous was based on the single language home so that may have caused the failed activation issue in the past for some.

CF-18 FAQ

I have talked to Alex about a new updated CF-18 thread a while back but just never got it done. We discussed this replacing the partial FAQ we currently have for the CF-18. I still don’t have all the pictures done like on the factory GPS install but I need to quit stalling and get it posted up, then just add pictures up later. This will be a work in progress and I will add the info to the first post to keep it clean. Besides I have a lot of time on my hands...

I am starting this thread because I feel this series is noteworthy and deserves discussion. I loved my previous GT72 Dominator Pro, and to me it was my favorite 17" platform, but now I am WOW'ed by this new series. Not only do we see nice improvements and more frills, but LOOK at the choices amongst the SKU's..... from single 1070 and 1080 models, to SLI 1070's..... at considerable varying prices, in truth, any of these should game very nicely. If I were not committed to my GT83VR purchase,...

Sager np2740 bought from xoticPC over 2 years ago. I had issues with the battery going bad 3 times total where I needed to buy a new battery twice which not only cost time and money but it required me going to a repair shop because the battery is internal. Battery issue isn't that bad since well I could plug it in outlet. Well recently my laptop shut down and no longer turns on. I'm also out of the country so went to repair shop here and they could not fix it. They said its motherboard...

CF-53 MK1 - bluetooth problems

Hello Toughbook gurus out there, I am in need of expertise please and thank you.

I have a new to me CF-53AAGZX1M that was sold as having Bluetooth, however upon receiving it bt connectivity did not appear in BIOS.

After a bunch of driver updates etc bt then showed in device manager as working (Toshiba RFCOMM) however I could not turn it on in Bluetooth Manager (Bluetooth Function Disable - Please plug in the bluetooth device) did not appear in the Wireless Switch Utility and I couldn't...

I dont mind about staining of the die so long as it is not cracked, bent/repaired pins, or other issues, but DIE is allowedto be slightly scratched etc. otherwise in good working order.

What's the deal with Win 10 and driver signing

I have my clean install up and running. I need to install some drivers for my Fiio X3 to work as a DAC. The drivers are signed (and confirmed signed during the install process), and no warnings pop up during the install. But the X3 won't work. Checking the device manager there is a warning about not being able to verify the signing or some BS like that. In order to get the X3 to work I need to boot the damn computer with driver signing disabled every freaking time.
What's up with this damn...

Fixes & Enhancements
-Caldera mode1 enter mode5 setting
-Remove TDPL method for DPT

Anyone know what this does?

Broken laptop keyboard- test with external keyboard?

My old Asus laptop has lot of problems. Monitor issue with lines that most likely needs to have screen replaced, but also the keyboard doesn't work. The only key that works is letter f when on chrome it presses find. I brought this to repair shop and they are looking over it.


The thing is I think there is a chance there is virus on computer because I downloaded certain things there. My question is assuming they say keyboard doesn't work, could I use an external keyboard to test on USB...

Alienware 17 R3 has literally the worst ethernet port ever manufactured

This is the second time the port has failed on me. I have to hold cables at an angle to get them to work. I've been an SE for many years and have never seen such terrible manufacturing on an ethernet port. They all fail the exact same way with the bottom of the plastic where the pins sit breaks off a tiny tab in the rear so the plastic gets pushed down when any cable is inserted. I am betting a large percentage of users don't even use their network ports which would be why it hasn't been...
