IMO a mobile device like smartphone or tablet is usually a ''passive'' device that we mostly only GET information conveniently with it , it's not something that we can conveniently use to make creation, the most ACTIVE thing I can think of is to text with your device. However, even typing a text passage with iPad is quite painful, compared to using a PC keyboard.

Some said iPad Pro could be a desktop replacement.
I have an iPad mini, I do not have an iPad Pro.

New 120hz Laptops Displays = Gorgeous!

For anyone wondering,
the new 17" Sager Displays with 120hz refresh have beautiful, clear colors.

When i calibrated my display the factory color gamut was the closest match to a post calibrated laptop display ive seen. Very good color gamut out of the box.

Most noticeable however is the crisp, clean, clear colors especially with graphics and fast moving gaming.

Laptops and displays, especially the 17" models are heavy, but its worth it do to screen quality.

Dont hesitate on getting one...

After some digging it looks like the MSI GT 15.6" in flavor is making a return in the form of the GT62 VR edition. This appears to be an actual GT62 and not that unbranded barebones with a desktop CPU that we've seen in the past. An official GT62! So far I've seen 2 SKUs with the 6700HQ and 6820HK but GPU and screen is unlisted.

Other laptops inbound include the GT72VR, GS73/63VR, GS43VR, and GE72/62VR.

Hopefully we know more soon, but good news for anyone that wants the 15.6" GT...

Laptop case/bag recommendation for 15.6" Clevo P650?

Hi guys,

I recently purchased a 15.6" Defiance III laptop with GTX 1070 from PCSpecialist. As far as I'm aware it uses a Clevo P650 Chassis and I have been looking around for a good protective case or bag that would be a good fit.

I don't want to spend too much, so I'd definitely be interested in budget friendly recommendations. I'd like something that has a professional look and possibly some additional compartments for folders/charger/phone, without being overly bulky.

Hey everyone. Here's the spec I purchased from pc specialist. I included just a single SSD, no disk drive and no OS as I figure I can upgrade myself and get them cheaper as required.

I wish to purchase an additional 1tb drive to install as soon as the laptop arrives. Can anyone recommend which to go for? I have experience building desktops but I'm new to laptops. What is the difference between a desktop or laptop drive? Will a desktop drive fit?

If you can recommend any options I'd...

Alienware 17 R3 ssd not showing up?

I have Windows installed on the ssd, but I want to do a clean install. It won't let me. The hdd doesn't show up for partitions to create under the ssd either, but it shows up for clean installing Windows, unlike the ssd. Ok, so I installed Windows also on the hdd, and I can't find the ssd anywhere unless I go to the bios and boot directly from the ssd. How the hell can I format it? This is driving me nuts. The bios sees it fine, but nothing else does.

Now since I have formatted the hdd...

I bought Dice Player (no longer available) and then Root Explorer and not they are free with adverts, so even though i have paid for them i am forced to see the adverts, is that really fair.

Has this happened to you?

Also Google Apps needs a rollback function, for when an update breaks your app, you can restore the previous working version.

Hey guys, my first post in this forum. I've been using my XPS 13 9350 for about a month now and I love it!

I had a weird issue pop up just now.. My laptop is plugged in 24/7 since I got it, it just stays on my desk. I havent moved it since. While using my laptop, I noticed the battery charge LED light up, which I never actually saw it light up before. I thought this was odd... since I never unplugged or lost power to my laptop, nor have I moved the charging cable at all for it to lose...

funny charging experience...

MSI Current Status 8/22/2016:
Right now as I open this thread, MSI support is saying we should all buy new laptops instead of asking for upgrades. :rolleyes:o_O

Of course we all know that MSI promised 2 generations of GPU upgrades for the MXM laptop models GT72/GT72S and GT80/GT80S.

We need to stick together and compare notes on the upcoming MSI Pascal GPU upgrades for our laptops.

How to disable SATA port in bios? (Sager NP8153)

Hi, I'm trying to disable a sata port in bios but there doesn't seem to be an option to do so. I want to disable one of my storage hard drives without physically disconnecting it. Any ideas?
